Using Luna Diary

Terms of Use

Luna Diary helps you keep a personal journal. You control your records, device, and backups.

About these terms

These terms cover your use of the Luna Diary Android app (com.applogcat.lunadiary) and this website, offered under the service and developer name Luna Diary. By choosing to use them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and website. Contact applogcat@gmail.com with questions.

Personal and lawful use

You may use the app for your own lawful, personal journaling. You retain ownership of your records; entering them does not transfer ownership to Luna Diary. Keep information accurate to the extent useful to you, and do not enter or share another person's private information without appropriate permission.

Do not use the app or website unlawfully, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt their operation, or infringe another person's rights. App code, branding, and original materials remain subject to their applicable rights. Open-source components remain governed by their own licenses, and these terms do not reduce rights granted by those licenses.

Journal estimates are not medical advice

Calendar estimates and summaries are based on your entries and settings and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Luna Diary is not a medical professional, diagnosis, treatment, pregnancy test, or contraception method. Do not rely on it to prevent pregnancy or make medical decisions. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice or concerns.

Your device, records, and backup password

You control your device, entries, and any files you export. The app does not provide an account-based copy of your journal or automatic cloud synchronization. Device loss, clearing app storage, or uninstalling can remove local records. Keep a backup you can access if you need to retain them.

New backups require the password you choose. We do not retain or reset that password and cannot recover a backup if it is forgotten. Restoring replaces current health records and cycle settings after your confirmation. Keep any current data you want before restoring, and protect exported files and access to the selected storage provider.

Third-party services

Android file providers, Google Drive or other cloud storage, email, WhatsApp, and Cloudflare operate under their own terms and privacy practices. You choose whether to use external storage or communication links. We do not control their accounts, availability, synchronization, group membership, or handling of information you give them.

The Privacy Policy explains the distinction between device-only health records, user-selected backups and communications, and the technical requests made when opening this website.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep the app and documents useful, but cannot promise that every feature, estimate, or online page will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. Features may change with updates. You may stop using the app at any time.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and website are provided as available without a guarantee that they meet every individual need. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, warranties, remedies, or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer and other statutory rights remain in place.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms for changes in the app or applicable requirements. Updated terms are published here with a new effective date; material changes will be communicated through the app or website as appropriate. Changes apply as permitted by law and do not remove non-waivable rights.

For support, questions, or concerns about these terms, contact Luna Diary at applogcat@gmail.com.
